Culinart Arts, Creative Design and History (7 days)

This 7-day tour begins in Tokyo, where students are introduced to one of the world’s largest cities. Key experiences include visits to the immersive digital installations of teamLab, and explorations of the youth and pop-culture districts of Harajuku and Akihabara. 

The journey continues to Kyoto, where students explore ancient temples and preserved historic streets. Cultural activities include a visit important temples and a guided calligraphy workshop. 

A day excursion to Hiroshima provides an important historical perspective, examining the atomic bombing of 1945 and Japan’s subsequent commitment to peace, reconciliation, and international cooperation. Ending in Osaka, the group explores Osaka Castle, Dotonburi Road and Takoyami making.

Overall, the tour is designed to deepen students’ understanding of Japanese culture and society through experiential learning, interactive workshops, culinary exploration, visual arts, and museum visits.
